Describe yourself in 5 words

Passionate. Enthusiastic. Adventurous. Book worm. Loving.

If you could only eat one things for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Pasta. I could eat pasta for every meal every day and be happy.

Did you have an imaginary friend growing up? What were they like?

I don’t really remember but my mom said I did and I just called them “friends”.

What do you have in your pockets or day bag right now?

My GoPro, a drawing by an amazing little girl who goes to the school I’m volunteering at, and Harry Potter in Spanish.

If you could go anywhere right now, where would you go?

I’m very happy with where I’m at. I love Granda Nicaragua and I love teaching and loving the kiddos at my school. But if I had to go somewhere I would choose to go back home to Oregon to partake in the feastivites of my favorite holiday, Halloween.

Beaches or mountains?

BEACHES! The Pisces in my constantly longs for the ocean.

What cartoon would you be?

Sailor moon. Without a doubt. She is a little ridiculous and emotional in the first season but then again so am I. Super awesome  friends, sweet super powers and costume, and a talking cat = heaven. I love the Sailor Scouts. I love that they show that girls can be just as bad ass as boys. I’m all about the girl power.

What is your dream job?

Honestly I don’t really have that one dream job. The one that I’ve been working my whole life towards and I’ll feel complete once I achieve it. There are so many things I want to do in the world. I’d love to be an author or a teacher or a travel blogger. The one thing I’m positive of is that I  want to do something that has a positive impact on people’s lives. I absolutely adore children and I want to do something that betters their lives. I guess my dream job would be a form of humanitarian work involving children. Currently my dream is to teach English in Spain.

Describe your home town.

My hometown is really quint and cute. It’s nestled in a valley at the base of a mountain and next to two rivers. It’s pretty small so one can bike almost anywhere and there is tons to do outside: skiing, mountain biking, swimming, river floating, hiking, etc. It’s an adventurers paradise. We get all four seasons, sometimes in the same day, it’s very green and lush. As with all small towns there is a lot of gossip and everyone knows everybody’s business but overall it’s an amazing place. I loved growing up there.

What 3 items do you need to bring in your bag on every long journey?

(Besides the essentials) My journal, GoPro, and a good book.

What’s your worst travel moment?

When I arrived at the border of Costa Rica and Nicaragua covered in mud and tears. We had already had a stressful travel day consisting of missed buses, bed bugs, and being swarmed by heaps of people wanting our money. On the way back from the bank I slipped in a giant puddle of mud and was completely covered from head to toe. It was so embarrassing. Everyone just stared and no one offered to help. Eventually I got hosed off and spent the rest of the day sopping wet.

    1. Thanks girl! I have the 4 silver. I really like it but there are a few things that frustrate me. It doesn’t have a timer like the older versions which sucks. Though there are ways around it, it’s just not as easy. Also it’s only good for close up pictures. I almost didn’t take my phone on my trip and I’m so glad I did because it’s hard to take pictures of anything far away with the GoPro because of the wide lens. It’s really just for selfies. The pictures turn out great though! I’m still trying to figure out how to use it properly and how to get the best pictures.
